Product Introduction

The MAXWELL industry-grade vacuum emulsifying mixer is a complete emulsification system that mixes, disperses, homogenizes and deaerates high-viscosity products in one sealed, vacuum-controlled cycle.

Raw materials are first heated and pre-mixed in the separate water phase pot and oil phase pot, then drawn into the vacuum emulsifying main pot by vacuum pump — no manual pouring, no air intake.

Inside the main pot, a central frame stirrer with PTFE scrapers sweeps the pot wall continuously, wiping residues off into new material interfaces. The high-shear rotor-stator homogenizer then cuts, compresses and folds the product into fine particles of 2 – 6 µm. Because the whole process runs under vacuum, the bubbles generated during mixing are removed in time — the key to a smooth, glossy, void-free emulsion.

All product-contact parts are made of SUS304 / SUS316L stainless steel, mirror-polished and fully compliant with GMP hygiene requirements.

How the Vacuum Emulsifying Mixer Works

1. Pre-mix & heat in water / oil pots 2. Vacuum transfer into main pot 3. Shear + deaerate → discharge

1. Pre-mix & heat in water / oil pots 2. Vacuum transfer into main pot 3. Shear + deaerate → discharge

Step by step

1. Pre-mixing. Liquid and powdered raw materials are heated and dispersed separately in the water phase and oil phase pots, so hard-to-wet powders dissolve before entering the main tank.

2. Vacuum transfer. The vacuum pump draws the pre-mixed batches into the emulsifying main pot through the conveying pipeline — a fully closed, contamination-free transfer.

3. Scraping agitation. The central frame stirrer with PTFE scrapers rotates along the pot wall (10–120 rpm, frequency-controlled), constantly wiping residues off the wall into new material interfaces — no dead corners, no burnt zones.

4. High-shear homogenizing. The rotor-stator homogenizer cuts, impacts and turbulently shears the product in the stator-rotor interstices until particles reach 6 nm – 2 µm.

5. Vacuum deaeration. The pot works under vacuum state, so bubbles produced during mixing are extracted in time — the finished emulsion is smooth, glossy and void-free, then discharged via bottom valve or tilting pot.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a vacuum emulsifying mixer?
A vacuum emulsifying mixer is an industrial machine that mixes, disperses, homogenizes and deaerates viscous products such as creams, ointments, toothpaste and sauces. It works under vacuum, so air bubbles produced during mixing are removed in time, giving a smooth, glossy and void-free emulsion with particles of 6 nm – 2 µm.
What sizes does the MAXWELL industry-grade vacuum emulsifying mixer come in?
Working capacities are 5L, 10L, 30L, 50L, 100L, 150L, 250L, 350L, 500L, 650L and 1000L. Each model can be equipped with optional water phase and oil phase pots as a complete 3-in-1 system.
What products can be made with a vacuum emulsifying mixer?
Cosmetics (face cream, hand cream, sunscreen, lotion, shampoo, hair conditioner), pharmaceuticals (ointments, syrups, nutrition pastes), daily chemicals (toothpaste, detergents, soap), food (sauces, jam, chocolate, butter) and chemicals (paints, pigments, adhesives, detergents).
How does the vacuum emulsifying process work?
Materials are first heated and mixed in the water phase and oil phase pots, then drawn into the emulsifying main pot by vacuum pump. A central stirrer with PTFE scrapers sweeps material off the pot wall to create fresh interfaces constantly, while the high-shear rotor-stator homogenizer cuts the product into particles of 6 nm – 2 µm. The whole process runs under vacuum, removing bubbles instantly.
How much does a vacuum emulsifying mixer cost?
The 30L vacuum main pot starts at USD 9,000 (optional water and oil phase pots USD 2,000). The 50L vacuum main pot starts at USD 10,000 (optional pots USD 3,000). Larger models from 100L to 1000L are quoted per configuration — contact sales@mautotech.com.
What heating and cooling methods are available?
The jacketed pots support electric heating or steam heating, and water cooling or mold temperature controller cooling, selected according to your product process.
