How the VEM-500 Vacuum Emulsifying Mixer Works
Toothpaste is not simply "mixed" — it is a structured suspension of abrasives, humectants, thickeners and active ingredients. The VEM-500 processes it through an integrated cycle:
Pre-mixing (water & oil phase pots): Liquid and powdered raw materials are heated and dispersed in separate side pots, so difficult powders dissolve before they ever enter the main tank.
Vacuum transfer: The vacuum pump draws pre-mixed batches into the main emulsifying pot, eliminating manual pouring and preventing air intake.
Scraping & framing agitation: A wall-scraping anchor stirrer continuously sweeps material off the jacket wall, creating a fresh interface and preventing burnt or uneven zones.
High-shear homogenizing: The rotor-stator homogenizer shears the mass into fine particles (typically 2–200 µm), producing a uniform, creamy emulsion.
Vacuum deaeration: Because the pot is under vacuum (≈ -0.1 MPa), micro-bubbles generated during mixing are removed instantly — the key to a smooth, non-pitting toothpaste.
Discharge: Finished paste is released through a disc/bottom valve, ready for the filling line with no secondary transfer.
